Reasonable design of collecting hood of pipeline ESP can reduce air handling capacity, save energy, and improve purification efficiency. On the contrary, it is not necessarily possible to achieve the desired results with a large gas collection capacity. The collecting hood of pipeline electrostatic precipitator should surround the pollution source as far as possible, or be close to the pollution source, so as to limit the diffusion of pollutants within a small range, prevent or reduce the interference of transverse airflow, so as to reduce the collecting capacity under the condition of obtaining sufficient collecting speed; at the same time, it should be as close as possible to the polluted airflow. The direction of movement is consistent, making full use of the kinetic energy of the polluted airstream.
Under the condition of ensuring pollution control, the opening area of the collecting hood of the pipeline ESP is minimized, so that its collecting capacity is very small. It is required that the axis of the external air collecting hood should coincide with the axis of pollutant emission. The area of the hood is 16:1 larger than the cross-section area of the air duct. The length of the Bell Hood should be three times the diameter of the air duct to ensure the uniform gas collecting of the hood.
The structure of collecting hood of pipeline ESP should not hinder workers'operation and equipment maintenance. When dealing with hot materials, the suction point should be set at the top of the hood, and the volume of the hood should be increased appropriately.
