For industrial electrostatic precipitator, besides its electric field, there are also changes in the air volume of its induced draft fan. The change of air volume has little effect on the equipment, but the dust removal efficiency of industrial electrostatic precipitator changes obviously with the change of air volume.

If the wind volume increases, the wind speed in the electric field of ESP increases, so the residence time of dust in the electric field is shortened. Although the wind disturbance in the electric field enhances the effective driving speed of charged dust, it is not enough to compensate for the negative effects of the shortened residence time of dust in the electric field caused by high wind speed and the intensification of secondary dust. Therefore, the efficiency of dust removal decreases obviously; on the contrary, the efficiency of dust removal increases, but the increase is not significant.
